PURPOSE:To separate efficiently a form even when a separating claw is provided to an edge part of a photosensitive body by composing a form separating means of a means which decreases the contacting force between the form and a photo sensitive body and the separating claw at the edge part of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The form separating means 7 consists of the separating claw 7b provided at the edge part of the photosensitive body 1 and a cover 7a which covers the opening part of a transfer device 3 where the claw 7b is provided by, for example, 5mm inside the end part. Therefore, the part where the cover 7a is not charged electrostatically, so the contacting force between the photosen sitive body 1 and form 5 is decreased and the form 5 is easily separated even when the separating claw 7b is provided to the end part of the photosensitive body. Consequently, damage to the photosensitive body and a defect such as a white stripe when the separating claw is provided to the center part of the photosensitive body are prevented. |
