Halothiopyruvic amides, which have viricidal and/or fungicidal activity of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein X is chloro, fluoro, bromo or iodo; and R is cyclohexyl substituted with 0, 1 or 2 lower alkyl groups, or phenyl substituted with 0, 1 or 2 lower alkyl groups.
