PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality recording of a desired density by determining the driving time of a recording head suitable for drive power corresponding to an operating amount. CONSTITUTION:The operational input amount of a density volume 7 is detected by CPU1 to determine the electrifying time of a recording head suitable for the driving voltage. A pulse is generated in a signal line 11 to actuate a monostable multi-vibrator 3 to generate a long-time pulse determined according to the operational input amount of a density volume 7. CPU1 recognizes the operational input amount of density volume 7 on the basis of output time of the vibrator 3. The corrected table of output time-operational input amount of the vibrator 3, determined according to the operational input amount- resistance value characteristics of the density volume 7 is stored in ROM in advance, and referring to the table, the operational input amount of the present density volume 7 can be recognized. In this way, CPU1 can detect the operational input amount of the density volume 7. |
