PURPOSE:To form a precision concave spherical surface by pressing a ball under restraint so that the ball doe not slide in the direction at right angles to the pressing direction. CONSTITUTION:The ball holder 3 and the work holder 4 are guided auxiliary with a suitable clearance within the cylinder 5 and guided under restraight with a tight elearance along the guide ring 6 equipped in the form of a hollow cylinder. In this manner, if the ball 1 is pushed by the push rod 7 into the work 2 through the ball holder 3, the dimension and the shaped of the ball 1 can be transferred accurately to the work 2. Therefore, an accurate concave spherical surface can be prepared without using expensive working equipment and taking a long working time, with inexpensive working equipment and with ease even to small objects. |
