PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which gives a coating film having excellent edge covering properties and resistance to flexural deformation in a low- temperature region, consisting of a bisphenol A type of solid epoxy resin, an aliph. amine adduct, a specified linear phenolic resin and an imidazole compd. CONSTITUTION:A bisphenol A type of epoxy resin (A) having an epoxy equivalent of 600-1,000, 0.2-0.5 equivalent (per equivalent of the epoxy group of the epoxy resin) of an aliph. amine adduct (B) having a softening point of 40-120 deg.C [e.g. an adduct of isophoronediamine with a liquid bisphenol A type of epoxy resin (2:1)], 0.5-0.8 equivalent (per equivalent of the epoxy group of the epoxy resin) of a linear phenolic resin (C) contg. phenolic hydroxyl groups at both terminals and 0.01-0.1mol [per equivalent of the phenolic hydroxyl group of component (C)] of an imidazole compd. (D) such as 2-methylimidazole are blended together.
