PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy and efficiency of the assembling operation of metallic pieces put in a cavity unit for molding a roof mirror array by measuring optically the formation part of the roof surfaces of the metallic pieces while adjusting the metallic pieces successively. CONSTITUTION:The cavity unit 11 is set in a vise and, for example, up to three metallic pieces 32 are fixed in cavities 31 of the cavity unti 11 successively. An auto collimator 23 is out in operation and the metallic pieces 32 are adjusted while the inclination of the ridge line, etc., of each metallic piece 32 are measured. When an accurate measurement result is obtained, a feed handle is rotated to move a slide table by one pitch. Then, a pressure handle is loosened and new metallic pieces 32 are inserted; and said operation is repeated. Thus, when the metallic pieces 32 are arrayed in all cavities 31, the measuring operation is completed and the next molding process is entered. Thus, the metallic pieces are assembled accurately and efficiently. |
