PURPOSE:To make a lighting device emit light all over the surface and get information displayed on a luminescent surface as well as to increase a degree of reality, by letting the lighting device, having the luminescent surface constituted of plural light emitting diodes, emit the light of characters or figures in a different state from other luminescent parts. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting part 1 serving as a luminescent surface of a lighting device is constituted of each of light emitting diodes 111-1nm being set in matrix arrangement. A control part 2 is constituted of a processor 2a and drives 2b and 2c of which the driver 2c selects and lights these light emitting diodes in accordance with sign contents. All these light emitting diodes are emitted and made into a state of being lighted, and at this time, a proper light emitting diode is selected, and if it is made into a different state from other diodes, for example, brightness is altered, taking some contrast to it, a message displayable in the lighting device. This message is displayable with characters or figures by combining these light emitting diodes as specified. |
