PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient manufacturing method by comparing an optionally set threshold level with the density level of each picture element in each nozzle of a specific image, and detecting the border of areas having a higher and a lower level than the threshold level as a contour. CONSTITUTION:When the contour l1 of the specific image I1 which is surrounded with an area having density E and has density F is detected, the threshold level S satisfying the condition that E<F is determined. Then, the nozzle (partial image section) Nn of the specific image I1 displayed on a display device including the contour l1 is determined along the contour l1. Then, respective picture elements in the nozzle Nn are compared with the threshold level S to detect an area wherein E<S and an area wherein S<F, obtaining the contour l1 of the specific image I1. Further, mask data is generated by indicating that the area of E<S or S<F is painted. Thus, the manufacturing efficiency is improved. |
