PURPOSE:To prevent a mirror housing from any breakdown and a something external from being damaged thereof, by making the mirror housing so as to keep off its impactive return by force of a spring device in keeping the existing state in tact when it tilts over. CONSTITUTION:In the case where impact force in a direction shown in fig. 1 is added to a mirror housing 6, the mirror housing 6, as shown in a full line, is turned round with a second turning fulcrum shaft 12 as a turning shaft, thereby relieving the impact force in good measure. Simultaneously, an engaging part 15 is turned round so as to cause its tip 15a to be jumped out to the side of a base 2 whereby the tip 15a engages an engaging step part 19a formed in the base 2. With this engagement, even after the force shown in fig. 1 added to the mirror housing so far is removed, the mirror housing 6 is prevented from its turning round so as to cause it to be restored to the original state, owing to support of an engaging piece 15. |
