PURPOSE:To prevent a photosensitive body from curling and prevent deterioration in picture quality due to curling by providing a support shaft guide device to a driven roll around which the beltlike photosensitive body is extended, and shortening the actual distance between a main drum and the driven roll. CONSTITUTION:The beltlike photosensitive body is extended between the main drum 5 and driven roll 6, and the support shaft guide device 10 is provided to the driven roll 6 to shorten the actual distance between two shafts. The driven roll support shaft 11 is supported with a stopper 14 and an arm 16 to which solenoids 15 and 17 are fitted. When the solenoids 15 and 17 are excited, the stopper 14 goes downward in a groove 13 and the arm 16 swivels clockwise; and the roll 6 moves away from the drum 6 to apply constant tensile force to the belt. The solenoids 15 and 17 are turned off in stop mode and the support shaft 11 is pressed onto a side plate 12 to shorten the actual distance between the drum 5 and roll 6. Consequently, no tensile force is normally applied to the belt and curling is not caused to prevent a decrease in picture quality. |
