PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing an antibody obtained by immunizing a mammal with the whole microbial cells of Bacteroides gingivalis as an antigen, capable of preventing periodontoses with certainty, and having high safety. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing an antibody in blood or milk obtained by immunizing a mammal with the whole microbial cells, pili or capsules of Bacteroides gingivalis. The dose of the above-mentioned antibody is preferably within 0.0001-50g/kg/day range, and the antibody is incorporated in an amount of 0.0002-10wt%, preferably 0.002-5wt% based on the total composition and used within the above-mentioned dose range. The incorporation of the above- mentioned antibody suppresses effectively the colonization of the Bacteroides gingivalis in the oral cavity, and the prevention of periodontoses can be carried out with certainty.
