PURPOSE:To obtain a tracking error detecting circuit which is not influenced by the inclination of a disk and can surely fetch a tracking error signal, by fetching a deviating quantity of tracking and the tracking error signal indicating the deviated direction. CONSTITUTION:A readout signal RF generated from an adder 11 and an output signal E generated from a subtractor 12 are respectively compared with zero levels at comparators 14 and 15 and converted into output signals G and H. An output signal I having a pulse width corresponding to the phase difference of the output signal E to the readout signal RF is generated from a set output terminal Q. The output signal I becomes a signal indicating the deviation of tracking when it is averaged and becomes an integrated output signal J at an integration circuit 17. Moreover, an output signal K generated from an envelope detecting circuit 21 shows the deviating quantity of tracking in an absolute value. |
