PICTURE PROCESSING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive picture processing device with simple operation by combining a picture processing device using the Carlson process and a coordinate input means with simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A picture data of the entire region of an original 2 on an original platen is read by a scanning base 11 and a picture data read is stored in a memory 15 by a control section 13. The picture data stored in the memory 15 is outputted on a display 5 by the control section 13 so as to allow the user to confirm visually an original picture without direct observation of the original. Then the user gives a region indication for a region desired to be erased in the original picture displayed on the display device 5 by using an indicating pen 7 on a coordinate input tablet 6, and it is possible to indicate, e.g., a rectangular region by two-point indication of apexes of diagonal lines of the rectangular on the desired region by means of the indicating pen 7.
