PURPOSE:To facilitate the positioning of the mass spectrometric tubes in a magnetic field by installing a flexible joint on both ends of the mass spectrometric tubes penetrating through the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of the mass spectrometric tube 4 which is tightly inserted into the air gap of the magnetic field 3 are connected to the field 2 and C housing through flexible components 6, respectively. Consequently, the tube 4 can also move in accordance with the move of the magnetic field 3. As a result, the positioning which locates each central point of output slits, field electrodes, magnetic fields, input slits in the same plane is facilitated. |
