PURPOSE:To enable automatic formation of a tape for qualitative determination by stopping temporarily recording where the signal for each component of a chromatogram is of a max. value and displaying the name of the component. CONSTITUTION:The signal from a chromatograph is taken into a CPU4 via an analog-to-digital converter 12 and a connector 5 for peripheral apparatus and the data conversion to a prescribed type set by a commander 6 in accordance with the command from a storage device 1 is accomplished. The data is stored in a storage device 2 and when the data attains a specified value, printing by an output apparatus 11 is accomplished. A chromatogram is obtd. by repetition of such operation. The max. level of each component peak is checked by the command from the device 1 at the point of the time when the chromatogram signal is collected. The level at the max. point is stored into a commander 7 for the stop position of a printer and the time in said stage is stored into a table storage device 8 for qualitative analysis respectively for each component. The name of the qualitatively determined component is displayed on the image screen of the apparatus 11.
