PURPOSE:To add, insert and delete records by forming an index part consisting of file information and a map element, map part for storing the using status of a recording medium and a data part like a table. CONSTITUTION:At the writing of data, an index part 10 is searched by a map part 30 and a dead area in a data part 20 in which new data can be written is searched. The new data are written in the dead area and a chain address, the number of reserve blocks, etc. are simultaneously recorded. The using status of an index part area and a data area is also recorded in a map part 30. At the insertion of data, data information to be inserted in searched from the index part 10, the existence of capacity is checked, and if the capacity exists, the capacity is inserted into the data part 20 and the information in the index part 10 is updated. In case of the addition of data, existing data are accessed from the data part 20 through the index part 10, a necessary item is added within the range of data apcity and the information used by the addition is recorded in the index part 10. |
