PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive body supporting mechanism of a copying machine which supports a photosensitive body with a short shaft at not one side, but both sides by inserting individual short shafts into drum flanges at both ends of the photosensitive drum and supporting the photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive drum 1 is arranged in a frame 12 together with a developing part, cleaner part, etc., and this frame 12 is movable on a rail 17 as shown by an arrow P. This frame 12 is provided with a rear drum flange receiving plate 13 and a front drum flange receiving plate 14. The photosensitive drum 1 is composed rotatably on a rear shaft 10 fixed on a rear plate 3 and a front shaft 11 supported at the front part 15 of the frame in a free inserting state. Then, the turning force of a motor is transmitted to the gear fixed on the drum flange 2 at the side of the rear plate 3 to rotate the photosensitive drum 1. Thus, even when the photosensitive drum is long, the movement distance for separating the shafts from the photosensitive drum is shortened and the fitting and work of the shafts are facilitated. |
