PURPOSE:To continuously detect volume of sand discharged from the lower end of a hollow pipe by mounting an endless belt having rotating units on its upper and lower ends and linear parts on its right and left sides, and attaching a mechanism measuring the distance which the belt travels. CONSTITUTION:An endless belt 2 is mounted on a hollow pipe 1, and a rotating unit 3 on its upper end is connected with a pulley 5 of a detector 4 located outside of the hollow pipe 1, while a turning unit 6 on its lower end is supported by a sheave 7 fixed onto the wall of the hollow pipe 1. Of linear parts 8 and 9 stretching toward the upper and lower directions of the belt 2, the part 9 is entirely covered by a guide pipe 10. As cover plates 11 and 12 which a small hole are fitted to both ends of the pipe 10, sand does not enter the pipe. At the stage that the linear parts are buried, to some extent, into said in the pipe, continuous detection is made possible by refilling sand from time to time, and work efficiency can be improved remarkably. |
