PURPOSE:To simplify the determination of sequent order of channels and the decision of absolute position of cells and wiring data when a wiring is formed on the channel separating cells by a method wherein a scanning is performed from the upper node of a merge-tree to the lower channel in consecutive order, and the wiring order is determined with priority to the lower channel appeared at the terminal. CONSTITUTION:When six cells 1-6 are arranged by placing channels A-I in a frame a merging is performed on every row starting from the left end cell to the next cell on the right side in the first step, and then in the second step, a merge is performed on the mergitory of each row formed by the first step starting from the lower low to the upper row in consecutive order. Then, in the third step, the node of the frame is merged to the mergitory formed by the second step. The order or merge to be performed on the node of the frame in this step is the lower side frame, the upper side, left side frame and the right side frame. The mergitory as shown in the diagram can be completed by performing the above-mentioned steps, channel nodes are picked out one by one based on the above mergitory, and the order of wiring is determined taking into consideration of the relations between the channel nodes. |
