PURPOSE:To keep exactly a measuring time, and to execute a measurement with a high accuracy by providing an alarm sound device for generating an alarm sound after a prescribed time elapses from a start of the measurement, and an illuminating device for illuminating a display device for a prescribed time, after this alarm sound device has been operated. CONSTITUTION:An electronic clinical thermometer is provided with an alarm sound device 5 for generating an alarm sound after a prescribed time elapses, and an illuminating device 6 for illuminating a display device 3 for a prescribed time after this alarm sound device 5 has been operated. Also, the illuminating device 6 is constituted so that it receives itself a power supply for a prescribed time. In this case, said prescribed time is a time enough for taking out the clinical thermometer from the arm pit or the mouth being a measuring part and reading a temperature value by a user, when the alarm sound has been generated, and for instance, it is set to ten seconds. By executing a genertion of an alarm sound and an illumination to the display device in this way, a measuring time is kept exactly, and an accuracy can be raised. |
