PURPOSE:To confirm proper position for starting kick action in a kicking position confirmation device by means of hitting sound and ensure reliable start of an engine by providing a thrust out piece on a decompressor shaft and making it collide to a portion to be hit. CONSTITUTION:In this kicking position confirmation device, a decompressor shaft 3 provided with a cam 4 is arranged on a rocker arm 2 of an exhaust valve 1 and the top of the cam 4 is abutted to the rocker arm 2 by manual turning of the shaft 3 to push in the rocker arm 2 and set the cam 4 in that position. Accompanying with the exhaust operation of the rocker arm 2 made by the cam 4 of a cam shaft 10, the setting of the decompressor shaft 3 is released, and in the return of the decompressor shaft 3 a thrust out piece 5 arranged on the shaft 3 is collided to the portion to be hit, which portion is fixed on the side of a head cover 6, to produce a hitting sound. The hitting sound teaches the proper position of starting an exhaust stroke, that is, the operation of a kick starter lever. |
