PURPOSE:To make the ignition and stoppage of an engine controllable, by judging the detective failure of a solenoid pickup without adding any change to a detecting device for a crank position, in case of an air-fuel ratio of a crank position, in case of an airfuel ratio controller for an engine. CONSTITUTION:An ignition timing controller for a internal-combustion engine 1 is provided with a solenoid pickup 1 for generating a crank's angle signal, a waveform shaper 3 shaping waveforms of the crank's angle signal and a signal discriminating device (CPU) 5 discriminating whether the crank's angle signal obtainable out of a solenoid pickup 2 is regular signal or a polarity turnover signal by means of the shaped crank's angle signal obtainable out of the waveform shaper 3. When the regular signal is outputted from the said solenoid pickup 3, an ignition control signal is outputted to an ignition coil, and when the polarity turnover signal is outputted from the solenoid pickup 2, the output of the ignition control signal is made so as to be forbidden in design. |
