PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an entire rotary electric machine and to improve the environmental resistance by mounting a controller for operating at a variable speed at the opposite load side of the machine, providing a cover, and mounting a motor driven fan. CONSTITUTION:A controller 7 for controlling the speed of a rotary electric machine 5 is mounted through a bracket 8 on the outer surface of a bearing bracket 6. The controller 7 is coated with a cover of an electromagnetic shielding material such as a soft steel plate. A cover 9 is mounted on the bracket 6. A motor driven fan 10 is mounted on the outer end of the cover 9. A control circuit of the controller 7 is divided into a plurality of printed boards, and a main circuit element having large quantity of heat is mounted on the heat sink and molded. |
