PURPOSE:To eliminate the inconvenience in interference of coupling and to exchange quickly rolls by forming work rolls for leveling a steel sheet into upper and lower mechanisms for driving one side and segmenting driving devices for the set of small-diameter rolls made of thin sheets and the set of large-diameter rolls made of thick plates to upper and lower sides. CONSTITUTION:The roll driving of the small-diamter set in the set of work roll small diameters 1a, 2a of a roller leveler for leveling a steel sheet and the set of large diameters 1b, 2b is made one-side driving of only the upper rolls 1a and the roll driving of the large-diameter set is made one-side driving of only the lower rolls 2b. The rolls are disposed in adequate positons without interfering the respective driving couplings and the easy exchange of the work rolls according to the thickness of the sheet is accomplished. |
