PURPOSE:To control the transfer of a workpiece at a low cost by arranging an eddy-current generating electromagnet for the inductor of a workpiece and a thrust generating electromagnet for generating the magnetic field having the phase shifted for the magnetic field of the eddy-current generating electromagnet in pairs in the direction of transfer. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnet 6 for generating an eddy current onto the copper foil 3 of a printed circuit board 1 and a thrust generating electromagnet 7 for generating the magnetic field having a phase shifted for the magnetic field of the electromagnet 6 are arranged in pairs along the direction of transfer. When an a.c. voltage is applied onto the electromagnet 6, the direction of the magnetic field is reversed in each cycle, and a voltage is induced by the electromagnetic induction between the both slits 9 and 9 of an inductor band 8, and an eddy current is generated. When an a.c. voltage having the phase shifted by a prescribed amount in time is applied onto the electromagnet 6, a magnetic field is generated, and an electromagnetic orce is generated between the magnetic field and the eddy current, and the printed circuit board 1 is moved in the direction of transfer, and the transfer is controlled by controlling the frequency of the a.c. voltage.
