PURPOSE:To improve the surface properties, formability and weather resistance by adding prescribed percentages of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, N, Ca and Cu. CONSTITUTION:The titled stainless steel consists of, by weight, <=0.08% C, <=1% Si, <=2% Mn, 6-8% Ni, 16-18% Cr, 0.05-0.3% N, 0.001-0.006% Ca, 0.5-2% Cu and the balance Fe, and the value of B represented by an equation B= 33(C+N)+0.6(Si+Mn)+Cr+2(Ni+Cu) is 4.4-36. The steel has favorable surface properties, superior formability and weather resistance.
