PURPOSE:To obtain an ice, having a sealed pattern therein and an elegant and cool feeling, and safe even if used for drinking and eating, by dipping a sheet of water-soluble paper printed or applied with a pattern in water, and freezing the above-mentioned water while dissolving the water-soluble paper. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of water-soluble paper 10, e.g. a medicinal wafer, printed or applied with a pattern 2 or 12, in an edible ink is dipped in water. The above-mentioned water is then frozen while dissolving the water-soluble paper 10 to afford the aimed ice.
