PURPOSE:To produce hydrogen repeatedly without causing lowering of rate of reaction and with high efficiency by a hydrogen producing process in accordance with UT-3 cycle by using a sintered body of CaO and TiO2. CONSTITUTION:A CaO porous sintered body having 1.0-10.0m<2>/g specific surface area is prepd. by molding a mixture consisting 90-10mol% CaO, 10-90 mol% TiO2 and binder to a specified shape and then sintering for 1-5hr at 800-1,200 deg.C. Then, CaBr2 in the Tower A, the sintered body in the Tower B, FeBr2 in the Tower C, and Fe3O4 in the Tower D are packed respectively. Steam is fed to the Tower A to proceed the reaction of the formula ( I ), and the reaction of the formula III is proceeded in the Tower D. Further the reaction of the formula IV is proceeded in the Tower D to generate H2. Further, the reaction given by the formula II is proceeded in the Tower B to obtain O2.
