PURPOSE:To obtain satisfactory joint strength by forming a triangular step part having the circumscribed circle slightly larger than the head part of a pin or the like and having the axial center of the pin or the like as its centroid around the seat face of the pin or the like or the hole of a base metal to be joined and welding the head part of the pin or the like and the base metal to be joined via said part. CONSTITUTION:The welded joint structure of a pin 10 or the like is formed by inserting the stem part of the pin 10 or the like into a hole provided to a base metal 12 to be joined and joining the head part 11 of the pin 10 or the like by projection welding to the metal 12. An approximately triangular step part 13 having the circumscribed circle slightly larger than the outside circumference circle of the head part 11 of the pin 10 or the like and having the axial center of the pin 10 or the like as its centroid is formed between the head part 11 of the pin 10 or the like and the metal 12. The head part 11 of the pin 10 or the like and the metal 12 are joined via the part 13 by projection welding.
