The subject of the present invention is a pneumatic pressure regulator comprising a body 10, 30 which can be connected, on the one hand, to an upstream pressure source 11 and, on the other hand, to a downstream use 12, comprising a valve element 53 which can shut off or open a passage between the upstream and the downstream, the valve element being applied against its seat by a spring 56, and which can be moved by the action of a rod 35 securely fastened to a membrane 31 arranged in a chamber within the said body and separating the said chamber into a first 31A and a second 31B compartment, the first compartment 31A being in communication with the downstream pressure, characterised in that it comprises means 43, 63, 65 for establishing a pneumatic pressure of adjustable value in the second compartment 31B.
