The invention relates to a device for the connection and conduction of the electrical current from the connecting lead to the heating element and/or temperature regulator in irons. The aim of the invention is to achieve improved production safety and reliability as a result of automation, by displacing the manual process devices, which are associated with subjective defects, in order to increase the quality and safety as a result of a connection assembly which is tested before final assembly. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the connecting leads and connections, which are known per se, are designed and dimensioned such that they can be produced automatically and can be automatically joined and stacked to form a complete module, and this module can be fitted to the apparatus automatically. According to the invention, the connection assembly is designed such that the complete electrical part can be automatically fitted and automatically electrically tested outside the apparatus.
