The invention relates to a film welding device, in particular for domestic purposes, which has a film contact surface and an elongated welding device extending approximately parallel to the front edge thereof as well as a connection nozzle for a suction or blowing device, which is connected to a pump in its rear region and extends forwards over the contact surface and has one or more passage openings in the region of its front end. This is intended to assist the blowing of air into the film bag and/or in particular the suction of air out of film bags and particularly to prevent the clogging up of the blowing and/or suction opening. To achieve this a support arm (connection nozzle 8; 508; 612; corrugated tube 716) is proposed; which is mounted at its rear region on the device housing (2; 602; 702) and extends forwards over the contact surface (4; 604; 704) and the front end of which is movable forwards as far as a position in the region of the front edge (54; 706) of the contact surface. <IMAGE>
