The invention relates to a loading and/or heading machine which is equipped with a loading shovel which has loading arms on either side of a conveyor lying roughly in the centre. The loading arms are driven by a rotary table via a joint with an axis lying roughly perpendicularly to the rotational plane and are attached at the ends to the base plate of the shovel, with a guide link inserted in between in an articulated manner. So that a relatively wide loading shovel can be covered, the link (10) is designed so as to be extended beyond its axis (11) arranged on the base plate (12) of the loading shovel (1), and at the same time the distance (a) between the axis (6) revolving with the rotary table (7) and the axis (9) between loading arm (5) and link (10) is on the one hand to be approximately equal to the distance (b) between the axis (9) of the loading arm (5) on the link (10) and the fixed axis (11) of the link (10) and on the other hand is to be approximately equal to the distance (c) between the fixed axis (11) of the link (10) and the rotational axis (8) of the rotary table (7). In this way, the projecting area (13) of the link (10) acts as an additional loading arm (14) which feeds won minerals from the outer area of the loading shovel (1) to the actual loading arm (5). <IMAGE>
