摘要 PURPOSE:To perform the detection of angular velocity with high sensitivity by a small angular velocity meter, by allowing intra-facial and extra-facial primary mode inherent vibration frequencies of a pair of forks to approach to tolerance limit of mutual interference and detecting intra-facial primary mode vibration generated as Coriolis' force. CONSTITUTION:A driving piezoelectric element 6a is adhered to the surface side of a left side fork 1a and a driving piezoelectric element 6b is adhered to the back side of a right side fork 1b. A piezoelectric element 7a for detecting extra- facial vibration amplitude is adhered to the back side of the left side fork 1a and a piezoelectric element 7b for detecting extra-facial vibration amplitude is further adhered to the front surface of the right side fork 1b. External AC drive power sources 6a, 6b are driven so as to make amplitude detection signals from the piezoelectric elements 7a, 7b constant to impart extra-facial vibrations in directions A, B or A', B'. A Coriolis force detecting piezoelectric element 8a is adhered to the outside surface of the left side fork 1a and, similarly, a Coriolis force detecting piezoelectric element 8b is adhered to the outside surface of the right side fork 1b to detect vibration (w) due to Coriolis force generated in an intra-facial direction.
