The invention relates to a hip endoprosthesis for tumour resections or the like, having an essentially spherical femoral head substitute which is adjoined by a prosthetic femoral shaft section which replaces the natural proximal femur over a lengthy portion, the femoral shaft section being extended on one shoulder by an anchorage section of smaller diameter to be anchored in the medullary canal of the remaining natural femoral section, a fastening section which extends essentially in parallel with the femoral axis, is provided with radial passage openings and can be fixed with screws or the like on the bone tissue of the remaining femur extending downward starting from the prosthetic femoral shaft section, the fastening section being designed as a rod having a length corresponding essentially to the entire length of the femur and running essentially parallel with the prosthetic femoral shaft section and the remaining femur, the rod-shaped fastening section being fastened at its upper terminal portion on the ridge of the trochanter of the prosthetic femoral shaft section and at its lower terminal portion at the natural condyle (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
