In a cleaning appliance which moves along a textile-machine row, around its end face, along the opposite row and then back again, for the guidance and mounting of the cleaning appliance a U-shaped rail is fastened to the top side of the textile-machine row symmetrically relative to the longitudinal axis of the row. A driving roller of the cleaning appliance bears against this U-shaped rail. In the channel formed by the U-shaped rail runs a cable which serves for the power supply and which runs from the middle of the textile-machine row to the cleaning appliance.
