The present invention relates to a heat-insulating facade element, with the associated fastening hooks, for walls and ceilings. Said element essentially comprises a heat-insulating base body (1) and a covering layer (2) which is configured on one longitudinal side of the facade element as a groove (3) and on the other longitudinal side as a tongue (4). The groove (3) and tongue (4) are arranged in such a manner that the part of the covering layer (2) forming the groove wall (5) on the underside terminates with the underside (6) of the base body (1). A rebate (8) sloping outwards from the foot of the tongue (7) is arranged above said tongue (4), and a corresponding rebate (9), which is truncated in cross-section, is arranged above the groove (3). As a result, a capillary effect between the contact region (9b) of the rebates (8, 9) and the tongue (4) is prevented. <IMAGE>
