PURPOSE:To improve an image quality by constituting a developer consisting of a toner particle and a carrier particle so that said toner particle does not contain a particle whose particle diameter is below a prescribed value of an average particle diameter of a toner particle. CONSTITUTION:When a development of an electrostatic image of an image carrying body 1 is executed, a magnetic brush formed on the surface of a sleeve 2 vibrates and moves on the sleeve 2 because a magnetic flux density of its surface as the sleeve 2 or a magnet body 3 rotates, and in that case, a uniform development is executed to the surface of the image carrying body 1. In this case, a developer D consisting mainly of a carrier particle and a toner particle is used so that said toner particle does not contain substantially a particle whose particle diameter is below 1/4 of an average particle diameter of a toner particle. By using such a developer D, a recording picture having a high definition can be obtained without dropping a picture quality. |
