PURPOSE:To widen a field of view for measuring a distance, and to execute easily a focusing by placing plural light emitting elements and plural photodetectors in separating them by a prescribed base ling length, and obtaining distance measuring information by making the light emitting element emit a light in time series, and deriving the position of an element which has photodetected it. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element array 6 is formed by arranging light emitting elements 1-5 on the same substrate, and the light is condensed by a projecting lens 9, and light velocities l1-l5 for irradiating an object to be photographed in time series. A photodetecting lens 11 is provided so as to be separated from the light emitting element array 6 by a base line length L, and the reflected light L from the object to be photographed is made to form an image on a photodetector array PSD12. The PSD12 is constituted of photodetectors A-H. When an object to be photographed is distributed between alpha1 and beta1 of a distance D1, the light from the light emitting elements 1-5 is made to form an image on the photodetectors A-E, and when it is distributed between alpha4 and beta4 of a distance D4, the light forms an image on D-H. These relations are determined clearly, and the distances D1-D4 are detected from the timing of a light emission and the position of the photodetector. In such a way, the field of view for measuring a distance is widened, and the focusing is executed easily. |
