PURPOSE:To attain mutual communication between various terminal devices and other communication network terminal devices by adding a storage function of communication protocol information of a terminal device and the said information transmitting function to an interface circuit corresponding to the terminal device and providing a transmission/reception function of plural kinds of communication protocols to the inter-network connecting device. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 1F circuit 20 has an 1F function, a function storing terminal attribute information relating to a communication protocol of a terminal device 11, a function transmitting said information to an inter-network connecting device and a control function. Furthermore, a channel is set between the terminal device 11 and the device 13 ahead the communication between the terminal device 11 and the terminal device 16 of the other communication network 12, the 1F circuit 20 informs the information relating to the said communication protocol to the device 13, the device 13 selects the communication protocol to be transmitted and received with the terminal device 11 based on the said information and then the terminal devices 11 and 16 are communicated through the said channel. |
