MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM FOR VERTICAL RECORDING

PURPOSE:To improve a recording and reproducing characteristic by providing a ''Permalloy'' film contg. a nonmagnetic layer and an amorphous layer disposed on the substrate side of the nonmagnetic layer nearest the Co-Cr vertically magnetized film between a nonmagnetic substrate and the Co-Cr vertically magnetized film. CONSTITUTION:A ''Permalloy'' film 7 is separated to two layers; an upper layer 5a and a lower layer 5b, by a nonmagnetic layer 8 and an amorphous layer 9. The thickness of a Co-Cr vertically magnetized film is made constant at 0.2mum. If the entire film thickness of the ''Permalloy'' film is constant, the ''Permalloy'' film is made to the two-layered construction by the non-magnetic layers 6, 8 and further the amorphous layer 9 is formed, by which the reproduced output higher by 7-9dB than the reproduced output of the conventional two-layered film medium is obtd.
