PURPOSE:To conserve power consumption by supplying power only when snow is deposited to a snow depostition measuring apparatus, by arranging two bare lines of power conductors on an insulated line and arranging a heat generating wires between said conductors to constitute a switch for shortcircuiting said bare conductors upon the melting of snow at the time of snow depositon. CONSTITUTION:An equivalent tortion stress member 2 is connected to a measuring dummy transmission line 2 and a rotary shaft 3. The rotary shaft 3 pierces a bearing 5 and a wt. is detected by a load cell 6 while the output of the load cell 6 is detected by an amplifier 7 and a recorder 8. At this time, a power source 10 to the amplifier 7 and the recorder 8 is connected through bare conductors 10a, 10b. These bare conductors 10a, 10b are arranged on an insulating line 9 and a heat generating wire 11 is arranged between said conductors 10a, 10b. When snow is deposited, snow is melted by the heat generating wire 11 to shortcicuit the bare conductors. By this mechanism, power can be supplied only at the time of snow deposition and power consumption can be conserved.
