PURPOSE:To protect the human body from what it touches a bumper and simultaneously give a warning to a driver, by making up the bumper with a soft elastic member having a curved surface, while installing a detector sensitive to anything pressure in this soft elastic member. CONSTITUTION:A bumper 1 is made up of a soft sponge member 2 like polyurethane foam in its inner part, while a lot of detectors 3 sensitive to anything by pressure are embedded in an around a curved surface of the soft sponge member 2. This sponge member 2 is covered with a sheetlike covering member 4 excellent in strength. Likewise, each detector 3 is connected to an alarm device (unillustrated herein) inside a car, and when the human body touches the bumper 1, the soft sponge member 2 is pressed down, closing a contact of the detector 3. With this constitution, the alarm device is operated, giving a warning to a driver at once. |
