BRAKE TEMPERATURE/ABRASION SENSOR

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of sensor by providing a movable metal piece while pressing against the piston in brake cylinder while providing a heat sensitive element in it and providing the pressing force of movable piece and electrical connection between each part by means of a compression coil spring. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 11 is arranged at the position contactable with brake liquid 5 and piston 4 in a cylinder 3. The sensor 11 is constructed by arranging a heat sensitive element 18 for detecting the temperature of brake liquid 5 in a movable metal piece 21 contacting with the piston 4 movable as the brake lining 1 abrades. One lead wire of heat sensitive element 18 is soldered 24 to said piece 21 while the other lead wire is soldered to a conductor 16 fixed to said piece 21. Furthermore, the conductor 16 is connected through a compressed coil spring 15 to the external lead-out terminal 14. The movable piece 21 is electrically connected to a metal case 12 through a compressed coil spring 20 while pressed against the piston 4 through a compressed coil spring 25.
