PURPOSE:To simplify the rearrangement of documents by displaying stepwise in picture the elements of a control system to plural documents, also displaying in picture the execution form of the document control to the pictures of said elements, and forming a document control system according to the selected and designated information. CONSTITUTION:A conversation display 14 displays the image pictures showing stepwise the elements of a control system to plural documents which are filed into a document file device main body and also the image pictures showing the execution forms of the document control to those said image pictures of elements of the control system. These image pictures are previously stored in a memory 12 then outputted selectively under the control of a CPU1 and according to the state of the document control. Thus the document file device main body is formed to simplify the document file jobs including registration, retrieval, storage, rearrangement, disuse, editing, etc. of documents.
