PURPOSE:To increase the processing speed and also to decrease the data area of an application program by indicating an effective range of input data at a process input/output part and delivering only the data within the effective range among input data given from the process. CONSTITUTION:The data supplied from a process is supplied to a process input/ output part 13 from an application program 11 via a line 18. In this case, an effective range of the input data is shown by a line 20. When a request is given for display of said effective range, the part 13 holds the data effective range and supplies data from the process while performing a comparison to know whether the data is within the effective range. Then only the effective input data is written on a file of an auxiliary memory part 14 with an indication given by a line 19 and via a main memory part 12 and a line 17. When the input is over with a fixed amount of data, this end is informed to the program 11. Receiving this information, the program 11 extracts the data out of the file and processes it immediately.
