PURPOSE:To improve operability by locking exposure and turning off the power source at the same time only by pressing momentarily an AE lock button and thus preventing the power source from being held on by turning off simultaneously the power supply, and pressing the AE lock button only in display confirmation. CONSTITUTION:When the AE lock button is pressed in while a subject part is set in the center of a finder, a brush shifts in position from an area (a) to an area (b) and a switch SM is turned off. Then, an amplifier A4 is turned off through an AND1 and a diode D6. Namely, an AE lock is made. At the same time, a TRQ5 is turned off through a diode D5, transistor (TR)Q7, and resistances R14 and R13, so a TRQ8 turns off unless a switch SH is turned on, and consequently electric power is applied to neither a power source holding timer TI nor a bias circuit BI, so that biases to all amplifiers are turned off. Thus, problems of AE locking are solved and the operability is improved.
