PURPOSE:To detect exactly and automatically the opened/closed state of a cam shaft controller by applying a detecting AC voltage to both poles of a cam shaft, and also, providing a means for limiting the influence of an AC power source and a control power source of the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:A cam shaft controller 100 is provided with overcurrent stopping relays 1-4 and its contacts 21, 22, driven by a DC control power source 31 and executes an opening/closing driving of contactors 11-14. An AC power source 32 supplies a voltage to both pole terminals of the contactors 11-14 through DC stopping capacitors C1-C4 and current suppressing resistances R1-R8, and an output of common fixed contacts m1, m2 of a changeover switch 41 is connected to a voltage measuring device 33 through a capacitor C5. Accordingly, when the contactor of the cam shaft is opened, the voltage of the AC power source 32 is displayed on the voltage measuring device 33, and in case when the contactor is closed, an electric power is obstructed by the resistances R1-R8, therefore, the voltage display by the voltage measuring device 33 becomes minute.
