The spring construction comprises a helical spring 1 which is made of flat steel or equivalent material and has ca. 1.5 - 2 windings, and a clamp 2 which is secured to the innermost end 1a of the spring and has a U-shaped central part, so that the clamp arms extend to both sides of the helical spring 1 and allow the spring to be placed freely. The spring construction is in other respects configured in such a way that it can be secured with the aid of the clamp to a support or base part such as a floor or ceiling. Various types of equipment can be secured to the free end 1b of the spring, for example a rocking horse 4, a seesaw 6, an exercise bar 3, etc. <IMAGE>
