PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by displacing tentatively a pneumatic pressure displacing means of an arm fitting part of a support spring so as to apply self-loading to a negative pressure type magnetic head slider onto a magnetic disc face thereby supporting the slider with a prescribed floating interval stably. CONSTITUTION:The negative pressure slider 1 is fixed to a head arm 32 via a support spring 31 having a prescribed spring force, and an air bag 33 with a gas supply tube 34 being a pneumatic pressure displacing means is fitted between the tip of the arm 32 and the spring 31. When the magnetic disc 35 is started and reaches the steady-state, the bag 33 is displaced tentatively by applying air pressure to the bag 33 from the gas pressure generator via the supply tube 34 so as to move the slider 1 in a self-load interval HO. |
